A few simple tricks that are helpful in raising your METABOLIC RATE and that will help you eat less to boot.
1) Drink 160z of cold water 5 minutes before a meal
2) While cooking dip a piece of (whole wheat or rye) bread in Evoo and enjoy
3) 1/2 hr before a meal eat 1doz almonds (raw) keep in fridge
4) Mid afternoon make a protein smoothie
- protein powder
- frozen fruit (blueberries, blackberries, strawberries etc)
- 1/2 teaspoon honey (wildflower tastes best)
- 2 flat tablespoons Psyllium husk
- 1 banana
- Ice
- Water
5) Another choice for a mid afternoon snack
- Greek yogurt
- Unsalted shelled pumpkin seeds
These few tricks will prevent the weight from piling up on the holidays
